Today, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer sent a letter to the National Archives requesting any documents related to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s ties to his son Hunter’s corrupt business dealings with Ukraine.

According to the Washington Examiner:
Specifically, Comer is requesting the unredacted version of all emails released by the National Archives under “Case Number 2023-0022-F,” which is titled on the NARA website as “Email Messages to/O the Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine”.
Emails posted in this category were highly worded and provided little context. However, the senders and recipients of the emails are public. For example, Hunter Biden, Antony Blinken, Beau Biden (Joe Biden’s late son) and Joe Biden himself are in the emails.
Comer specifically refers to an email dated May 26, 2016, with the subject line “Friday Schedule Card.” This email refers to a “9am phone call with Pres Poroshenko”, referring to President Petro Poroshenko, who was the president of Ukraine at the time. The email was sent to “Robert L. Peters,” a name reported to be a pseudonym that then-Vice President Joe Biden sometimes used when sending emails. Also, Hunter Biden was emailed.
The takedown form shows the redaction was made in part because it contained a “personal phone number.”
Comer notes that this document was sent to “Robert L. Peters,” which is a pseudonym used by Joe Biden, and asked why Hunter and only Hunter was copied in this email to then-Vice President Biden.
Comer is also requesting all documents or communications in which the then-vice president used a pseudonym and communications involving Hunter’s former business partners Eric Schwerin or Devon Archer.
