South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem will endorse former President Donald Trump in the GOP presidential primary at a campaign rally in her home state on Friday, according to a person familiar with the upcoming endorsement.
Noem, who was once a possible candidate in 2024, will introduce Trump at a fundraiser hosted by the state Republican Party in Rapid City. CNN first reported approval imminent.
The popular GOP governor has been floated as a possible Trump running mate and has publicly voiced his support for the former president in recent months, saying Trump is the only candidate in the race capable of winning.
