Biden then appeared via video and said with a smile, “Aubrey, you are the most famous person in Deleware and there’s no doubt about it. We’re thankful you made it out of White Lotus alive.”

SNL alum Amy Poehler appeared as herself during the monologue before joining Plaza for a Weekend Update segment reprising her Parks and Recreation roles as Leslie Knope and April Ludgate. During the update segment, Poehler’s Knope asked lead anchor Colin Jost if Biden was able to see her through the video conferencing app he had used during the show’s opening monologue.

“I think he pre-recorded it,” Jost told her, to which she replied, “Oh, I thought that show was live.”

On the show, which aired from 2009 to 2015, Leslie Knope famously had a longtime crush on then-Vice President Biden. He made two cameos on the hit show, once in the fifth season and once in the seventh.
