Trump supporters are increasingly calling for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to break his perceived silence on unconfirmed reports that former President Donald Trump is about to be arrested this week.
After DeSantis’ latest post on the social media platform Twitter regarding Hurricane Ian, increasingly frustrated Trump supporters unloaded on the governor.

“Get rationalizing. You should make a statement about Alvin’s insanity,” Josh Barnett retorted, referring to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
“Are you going to take on Trump for his false protection in New York?” Kyle Hunter responded. “If not, let’s face it, Ron, you’ll be next on the docket of a rogue prosecutor and your political career is over. Trust me on this one. GET UP RON!”
“Hi Ron,” Isabella Riley commented. “Remember Trump? The man who made your political career??? Do you have ANYTHING to say about the utter INJUSTICE happening to him right now? No. You are more concerned about your own political career than the fate of our country. You’ll never be president.”
“You are an amazing governor, but if you don’t stand up for equal justice under the law and oppose the weaponization of our own government against its citizens, many people who love you will never forget it,” said Anonymous. account Barbie Insurrection. “Do the right thing.”
“Your silence SPEAKS LOUD to your entire base,” argued Crystal Hope. “You are making a serious decision by not addressing the current corruption. By keeping quiet, we know you are bought and paid for, which is horrible for the future of this country.”
“Where is your comment on the political persecution of @realDonaldTrump?” Alex Bruesewitz fired. “Do you remember him? You used it to advance your political career. You’re a fraud.”
There was some pushback against demands that DeSantis issue a statement on the issue.
“Trump has defamed him tirelessly, filed an ethics complaint, and now you want him to come to his aid?” said Szymon Thomas. “Lol. I should make a statement about this political witch hunt, but DeSantis is under no obligation to defend Trump himself.”
Raheem Kassam, editor-in-chief of the National Pulse, called the comments “brutal”.

Mike Cernovich, in a separate post, suggested it would be the “easiest victory DeSantis could take right now” to issue a statement of support.

The popular Twitter account Catturd also had a critical attitude.

Donald Trump has expressed his belief that he is about to be arrested on Tuesday, based on alleged “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
Trump announced on Saturday that “ILLEGAL FACTS” from Bragg’s office suggested he would be arrested on Tuesday:

Bragg is preparing to indict the GOP presidential candidate “for alleged hush money payments that Trump made as a 2016 presidential candidate” to porn star Stormy Daniels, Fox News reported.
Fox News also reports that the Trump campaign is “backtracking” on his comments that he is about to be arrested. R
It’s unclear, however, whether Donald Trump or his campaign have actually “walked back” his comments. Trump’s public comments and his Truth Social channel do not indicate that he has retracted any of his earlier statements.

Ron DeSantis is holding a press conference tomorrow at 10am eastern on an unrelated matter. It will be interesting to see if the Florida governor comments or even if Trump’s arrest actually occurs.
