“I think this attempt was clearly an inside job. All these kids they're saying, 'I can't believe it's gone,'” de Matteo said daily mail.
A lot of people have no idea what's really going on, and that's why the Trump derangement syndrome exists. It's the level of propaganda and the twisting of information … there's no truth anymore.”
On July 13, Trump, 78, was heading to a campaign rally near Butler when Thomas Matthew Crooks fired shots at the former president, one of which hit him above the right ear. Crooks was later shot and killed by Secret Service snipers.
The Emmy winner, who describes herself as an “old hippie liberal” who likes Trump and RFK, expressed her disillusionment with the state of the nation. “I mean, they're on the left, and I'm on the left, but I'm ashamed. I'm also ashamed of my country. And I'll wear an American flag all day because I'm a true patriot. But I'm shame on the blood on the hands of this country right now and the karmic overload of dishonesty and greed.”
He concluded on a note of optimism: “It's come so far, but I really believe in the people…I think we can make America great again.”
During a recent interview on Fox News' “Jesse Watters Primetime,” de Matteo claimed that there are “many” secret Trump supporters in Hollywood. “I wonder how much these actors have paid to endorse Biden at this point,” he said. “I'm curious.”
He added that other actors are afraid to voice their support for Trump for fear of condemnation. His comments came after actor Robert De Niro criticized Trump at Biden's star-studded Hollywood fundraiser.
