Ron DeSantis leads Donald Trump by 50 points with younger Republican voters

New voting points for issues Ron DeSantis with a particular demographic in the 2024 presidential race.

A Fox News Poll conducted June 23-26 shows Florida governor 50 points behind former president donald trumpfrom 64% to 14%, with Republican voters under the age of 45.

Trump, 77,’s massive lead with younger voters is notable since DeSantis, 44, is actually a member of that demographic cohort. The governor has made age an issue in campaign speeches, promoting himself as able to carry energy to the executive power.

Despite those promises, younger voters represent a drag on DeSantis’ overall numbers and are the worst subgroup for the governor in the Fox News poll. With voters between 45 and 64, DeSantis is only down 25 points (52% to 27%). And with voters 65 and older, the governor is 20 points behind (50% to 30%).

Overall, DeSantis has dropped 34 points to Trump, 56% to 22%, with other candidates far behind.

Author Vivek Ramaswamy’s 5% is good for third place, with the former vice president mike pence and the US senator. Tim Scott of South Carolina tied for fourth with 4% each.

Former United Nations envoy Nikki Haley he has 3% support, ahead of the former New Jersey governor. Chris Christieformer governor of Arkansas. Asa Hutchinson i Larry Eldereach of which has 1%.

The North Dakota governor registered no support in the Fox News poll. Doug Burgumformer congressman from Texas Will Hurd and the mayor of Miami Francis Suarez.

The poll, conducted jointly by Beacon Research and Shaw & Company Research, has a margin of error of +/- 5 percentage points among Republican respondents.

The overall distribution of 34 points in the poll between Trump and DeSantis is marginally outside the Race to the White House average of national surveys. This shows Trump with 53% support, DeSantis with 22%, Pence with 6%, Haley with 4%, and Ramaswamy and Scott with 3% each.
