Police officials across the country warn Harris presidency would be 'unmitigated disaster'

Law enforcement officials and experts are warning of the “unmitigated disaster” a possible Kamala Harris presidency would spell for the nation.

The vice president's law-and-order record during her tenure in the Biden administration, as well as her legacy as a prosecutor in California, have put cops on edge, even in Democratic-led cities .

“Let's be clear about one thing: If Kamala Harris becomes the next president of the United States, it will be a total disaster for the public safety of this country,” Joe Gamaldi, national vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police, said in Fox News Digital. .

“She has been vocal and proud in support of bail reform and has even given and encouraged others to donate to a fund that helped get murderers, rapists, people who shot people in the street, out out on bond,” said Houston Police Department Lt. “We're not talking about helping rescue the mother who stole a candy bar from the store to help feed her children; We are talking about violent criminals.”

Harris infamously supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund amid the George Floyd riots in June 2020. The fund allegedly helped get Black Lives Matter rioters out of prison and put many violent criminals back on the streets.

During the height of the BLM protests, Kamala Harris publicly supported and shared a link to the Minnesota Freedom Fund to rescue people. Many of those rescued committed a variety of heinous crimes.

Gamaldi noted how bail reform has been a failure and has not been effective in “any urban community.”

“It's what has caused 16 American cities to experience the highest homicide rate in recorded history in 2020-2021,” he said. “And we're still living with the consequences of that.

“Over the past three years in the United States, we've averaged over 20,000 homicides a year, and we haven't seen those numbers since the mid-1990s,” he added. “And now we're going to have Vice President Harris, who is the presumptive nominee at this point, come out with a platform of support for bail reform after seeing the horrific consequences that we've seen in our urban communities.”

Blue Lives Matter NYC founder Joseph Imperatrice told Fox News Digital that Harris has failed to ensure “bad guys” stay behind bars.

“America needs a leader who will keep the bad guys behind bars and unfortunately Kamala Harris has not done that,” he said. “It was demonstrated during the riots by intentionally rescuing the bad guys.”

“This is not a Democrat or Republican issue, this is a humanitarian issue,” Imperatrice added. “This is a liability issue.”

Harris' progressive and soft-on-crime views while serving as San Francisco's district attorney and California's attorney general have marred his record.

“But unfortunately, we've seen over the last couple of years a shift to the left, pandering to activists,” Imperatrice noted.

“She's turned the corner,” he said. “She's not the prosecutor we once knew, and now she's letting bad guys not only stay out of jail, she's helping them out of jail, which is causing a huge problem.”

Former prosecutor Charles “Cully” Stimson accused the media of projecting Harris as a pro-police candidate.

“I know the language of right and left,” said Stimson, a member of the Heritage Foundation. “And that's Exhibit A on a dog whistle to the left.

“So the reason the media is now loving her all over the place and trying to protect her and calling her a candidate for the police is because they're committed to the projection,” he added. “It's anti-police.”

“'Reimagining' means pro-criminal, that's all it means,” he said. “The George Gascons, the Larry Krasners, the Alvin Braggs and the Kim Foxxes have enacted their policies [as district attorneys]. They refuse to prosecute all misdemeanors. They reduced the crimes to misdemeanors. They don't send violent juveniles to adult court. And the list goes on and on and on.”
