According to authorities and sources, a student at a prestigious business school was in the Big Apple for a summer internship at Citibank when he allegedly began committing sex crimes.
Pervert Chamberlain Nw-iue, a 21-year-old junior at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, tried to rape one of his victims the day after he was released without bail in another attack, police said and Manhattan prosecutors.
The twisted suspect later bragged to police about his knowledge of the women and claimed that his earlier eye contact with his attempted rape victim was enough of an “invitation” for him to enter her apartment, the women said. authorities
“When you've had interactions with the opposite sex for a while, you can read the signs. It was like an invitation to come over to his apartment to see what's going on,” Sicko said, according to recently released court documents.
Nw-iue told police he had been in the city for about a month and was working for Citibank when he was arrested in his first raid on June 27, prosecutors said.
Nwi-ue, who is from Indianapolis, lasted just 10 days at his internship at Citibank before being fired due to behavioral issues, the financial company said, adding that the suspect was given the boot before the first attack
“This individual is not an employee of Citi. He was fired within two weeks of starting his internship due to complaints about his behavior,” a Citibank representative told The Post.
In the June 27 incident, the suspect assaulted a woman at the corner of Perry and Bleecker streets in the heart of Greenwich Village by sliding his hand down her pants and squeezing her bottom, the DA's office said of the district
The pervert then tried to kiss the woman before she screamed for help, said prosecutors, who charged Nw-iue with forcible touching and sexual assault in the attack.
Prosecutors asked for a $5,000 bond for Nw-iue because he did not live permanently in the Big Apple, but Judge Valentina Morales opted for supervised release.
Nw-iue ended up attacking another woman just 24 hours later, authorities said.
Prosecutors said the shoulder's criminal behavior “escalated” with the attempted rape of the second woman at her apartment on East 95th Street in East Harlem, where he followed the victim, who was walking her dog, inside his building before entering his room.
The sex lover then told the victim to “calm down” and that he would “have sex with [her],” Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Julia Hooks told the court, adding that the victim was only saved when a doorman heard her scream for help.
When police arrived at the apartment, they found Nw-iue holding the victim inside and arrested him, authorities said.
“At the time of the defendant's arrest, [Nw-iue] was in custody and made comments about other women he saw, essentially stating, “I would screw her,” Hooks said, according to a court transcript.
Nw-iue allegedly tried to downplay the attempted rape to police by boasting about how much he knew about the women.
“Sometimes you just have eye interactions and it's clear what's being said. Once you've done it for a while, it's pretty obvious,” he said, according to court documents.
Nw-iue pleaded not guilty Monday to first-degree robbery as a sex crime and attempted rape charges at his appearance in Manhattan Supreme Court, where Judge Curtis Farber ordered him held on bond in cash of $100,000.
Chamberlain studies finance and law, ethics and decision making at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The Kelley School of Business is ranked #30 in the nation, according to Bloomberg's list of top business schools.
He was listed as a member of Kelley's student government on his professional profile, but the organization told The Post he is not involved or associated in any way.
Nwi-ue also claims to be a member of Goldman Sachs' “Emerging Leaders Series,” a five-week mentoring program at the bank, according to his LinkedIn.
The Legal Aid Society, which represents Nwi-ue, declined to comment.
An Indiana University representative confirmed that Nwi-ue is a student at its Bloomington campus.
Nwi-ue returns to court on November 4.
