Maxine Waters, a congresswoman from the “breakfast cereal state” of California, has unleashed her endless capacity for aimless vitriol on Donald Trump to call for protests ahead of an impending arrest for a campaign violation next week.
“You had been warning everybody since the beginning of the Trump presidency about who he is,” MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart said. “Your reaction to the breaking news this morning of the former president saying on his own social media platform that he will be arrested, says this, on Tuesday.”
“Well, let me say this, Jonathan,” Waters replied. “Constantly, as I travel around the country, people ask me, when will he be arrested and charged? Is he above the law, hasn’t he done enough for the American people to have faith and trust that the law applies to him too? Yes, I began to warn the American public very early on about this president that I had never seen.”
“Most people never saw or believed that we would have a president who has acted the way he has, who has disrespected the Constitution of the United States of America, who has lied, who has tried to organize national terrorists,” he said. claimed
“And some believe he organized them when they attacked our Capitol on January 6,” he continued. “This president has behaved in a way that does not deserve not to be arrested. He should be arrested. He should be charged. And the charges he’s charged with are minimal, unlike the charges I think he could have been charged with. I don’t know what will happen when it is announced. It’s almost like he’s trying to organize his domestic terrorists to show up and resist arrest. You have to be careful with him.”
“I just wanted you to, you know, understand that maybe I was trying to organize domestic terrorists, to protest his arrest,” he added. “And I think we have to be careful that he’s making this announcement. He’s doing it for a reason.”
“Okay,” Capehart said. “And we’re being careful to report that aspect of your post on Truth Social.”
On Saturday, President Trump went nuclear on Truth Social over reports that he will likely be arrested by authorities next week. A Soros-backed New York prosecutor is set to indict him over a “hush money payment” made to Stormy Daniels in 2016.
“IT’S TIME!!!” Trump exclaimed. “WE ARE A NATION IN STRONG DECISION, WITH A CROOKED POLITICIAN WHO DOESN’T KNOW EVEN THAT HE IS ALIVE, BUT WHO IS SURROUNDED BY EVIL AND SINISTER PEOPLE WHO, FROM THEIR ACTIONS OF DESTROYING THE POLICE, WE ARE THE MILITARY, THE OPEN BORDERS, WITHOUT VOTER ID, INFLATION, INCREASE TAXES AND MUCH MORE, THEY CAN ONLY HATE OUR FAILING USA NOW. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY ARE KILLING OUR NATION WHILE WE SIT AND WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA! PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”
It is interesting that Waters claims that Donald Trump is organizing “domestic terrorists” to protest, when he has held more than a hundred demonstrations without incidents of violence, the FBI has found no evidence linking Trump to a centrally organized plot to a so-called “insurgency,” and the only people killed in the Capitol riots on Jan. 6 were Trump supporters.
American citizens should be wary of demonstrating in major cities this week. While Trump supporters remain peaceful and patriotic, there may be extremists and operatives seeking to turn the protest into a so-called “insurgency.”
