Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that the decline in US power and influence is putting the world on a path to international collision unless world leaders can find a “new balance”.

Orban suggested at a conservative festival in Transylvania over the weekend that the balance of global power is shifting at an unprecedented rate and is making the world much more dangerous as a result. The “million dollar question”, says Orban, is whether the world is capable of avoiding mass collision.

“US dominance on the world stage is steadily waning. They are not happy, they want to remain at the head of the world forever”, argued the Hungarian Prime Minister, highlighting China’s political, economic and militaristic rise.

He suggested that the international projects of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) – including the One Belt and One Road Initiative, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the BRICS organization – are creating a favorable process that is becoming a ” inconvenient truth” for the United States, especially as many countries are moving away from Western values.
