The statement continued: “Geane was a vibrant soul, always striving to live life to the fullest. He was a dedicated athlete with ambitious dreams of making a difference and leaving a lasting impact on the world. His infectious happiness left a mark indelible in all those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him”.

A native of California, Herrera made his UFC debut in August 2015, competing at UFC Fight Night 73. Although he suffered a unanimous decision loss, he returned to the Octagon just three months later and emerge victorious with a technical knockout against Joby Sánchez. . After two final losses, Herrera moved on to the Berkut Absolute Championship in 2018.

In July 2021, he showed his skills at BKFC, where he scored a victory in his debut by achieving a TKO against Abdiel Velazquez.
