On Monday, February 15th, Mike Howell, a former US Navy Commander, called for the immediate impeachment of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for violating his oath of office.

In a statement released by Steve Bannon’s War Room: Pandemic, Howell said that Mayorkas had “violated his oath of office by failing to uphold the rule of law and protect the American people”. Howell argued that Mayorkas had put the interests of foreign nationals ahead of American citizens by giving preferential treatment to illegal immigrants over those who had followed the law and obtained legal status.

Howell, who served for over 20 years in the Navy, said that Mayorkas’ actions were “an affront to the Constitution and an attack on the rule of law”. He went on to say that Mayorkas had “undermined the security of the United States and placed the safety of the American people at risk”.
