Corrupt Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, backed by George Soros, looks to Donald Trump to make the court disappear.

According to the Post Millennial:

Bragg's office has filed a formal request to disparage Trump over three social media posts.

Prosecutors said during Monday's hearing that three of Trump's social media posts this month “clearly violate” Judge Juan Merchan's gag order, alleging they target witnesses who will testify in the trial, according to ABC News.

Prosecutors wrote in the filing: “And the defendant's violations were knowing and deliberate; indeed, they are the latest in what this Court has already recognized as a deliberate strategy to obstruct this criminal trial. Surely, the The defendant has complained loudly and repeatedly that the order is illegal, both in court and other public statements, but no court has accepted his objections, and a defendant's simple disagreement with injunction is not a defense to criminal contempt.”

Trump's lawyers have insisted he was responding to “repeated, salacious and demonic attacks” by porn star Stormy Daniels and former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.

A hearing on the matter has been scheduled for next Tuesday. Trump could be fined $1,000 for each violation of the gag order.

Earlier this year, so-called “fact checkers” rallied to Bragg's defense to deny that he had been funded by George Soros. How I wrote earlier; Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler claimed that it is false that Soros funded Bragg, but an anti-police group called Color of Change PAC announced in May 2021 that it wanted to support Bragg's DA bid with $1 million . Days later, Soros cut Color of Change a check for a million dollars.

Anyone can see exactly what happened here, but the fact checkers were more than happy to further knock down their credibility by arguing otherwise with pure semantics. The fact checker's case that Soros didn't fund Bragg is nothing more than “Soros didn't fund him, the PAC did!”

Meanwhile, at PolitiFact, fact-checker Amy Sherman absurdly argued that since Soros' contribution to the PAC was not earmarked, then “the contributor and the candidate have no connection.” Speaking of connections: Soros has given $300,000 to the International Fact-Checking Network, owned by the Poynter Institute, of which PolitiFact is an affiliate. What a coincidence.
