BREAKING: Madonna rushed to ICU after being found unresponsive with a serious bacterial infection

Pop icon Madonna has been rushed to a New York City hospital after being found unresponsive. The 64-year-old singer was discovered on Saturday and later transferred to the ICU, where she was intubated overnight.

According to Madonna’s longtime manager Guy Oseary, who shared the update on Instagram, she had developed a serious bacterial infection that required a several-day stay in the ICU.

Thankfully, the “Vogue” crooner is now believed to be out of the intensive care unit and recovering in a regular hospital ward. Throughout this ordeal, Madonna’s eldest daughter, Lordes Leon, has been by her side, providing support.

Due to the health crisis, Madonna’s highly anticipated “Celebration” tour, scheduled to begin in Canada in less than three weeks, has been postponed.

“He’s out of ICU now and on the mend,” a source told People.

On Wednesday, Guy Oseary returned to Instagram to announce that the “Material Girl” singer, 64, is now on the mend after her ICU stay.

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection that resulted in a several-day stay in the ICU,” he wrote. “His health is improving, but he is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”

“At this time we will have to pause all commitments, which includes the tour,” the statement continued. Madonna was preparing to begin her celebration world tour next month, marking the 40th anniversary of her career.

“We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and rescheduled shows.”
