Atlanta BLM activist Mary Hooks said the city of Atlanta, indeed the entire nation, is “lucky” there haven't been many more fires started in the name of social justice.
following the arrest of John Robert Mazurekwho allegedly set fire to eight police motorcycles last summer in protest of a planned police and fire training facility known as “Cop City,” Hooks was asked if he condemned the arson.

“Not at all,” he stated. “And if I'm being honest with you, Atlanta deserves better than that.”

For all his bravado, Hooks explained that he can't personally “risk” setting other people's belongings on fire, but “those who can, bless them.”
“I can't take that risk,” he shouted, wagging his finger at the reporter. “But Lord knows I'm going to sit down with my lighter and say, 'Damn!'”
