Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist, recently revealed who he believes will be Donald Trump’s running mate in the 2020 presidential election. Bannon believes that Trump will choose former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley as his vice president.

Haley was a vocal critic of Trump during the 2016 election, but since then she has become a vocal supporter of the president. She served as the US Ambassador to the United Nations under the Trump administration and has since become a popular figure among Republicans.
Haley was also recently rumored to be a potential pick for the Supreme Court, so Bannon’s announcement may give her even more momentum.
If Haley does become Trump’s running mate, she would be the first woman to serve as a vice president in American history. She would also be the first woman of color to serve as a vice president.
