“You used to love Trump… Gotta tell ya!”

Trump attorney Alina Habba bluntly called out “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy as he asked her about the former president’s fourth impeachment, loudly noting that she used to love Trump.

Doocy has progressively seemed more and more anti-Trump in his stances on the show and it seems Habba wanted to confront him.

Habba sat down with the crew on set Tuesday to talk Trump’s indictment of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as well as 18 others for alleged election interference in Georgia during the 2020 election. The four indictments and trials against Trump appear to be strategically planned to prevent him from campaigning for the presidency in 2024.

The lawyer spoke of the chaotic and shadowy manner in which the indictment was announced and how the charges against the former president violate his due process. Doocy then intervened and cited a New York Post column written by Fox News legal contributor Andy McCarthy.

“I’ve heard from a lot of legal analysts and they say what’s different about this case than federal cases is that Georgia has laws that are specifically tailored to election interference and things like that,” Doocy said. “Andy McCarthy, a contributor to Fox News and also wrote an article in the New York Post, said that the Georgia impeachment is the most dangerous threat to former President Trump. President Trump knows that this is a dangerous threat?

“And we don’t agree that it’s a dangerous threat because we actually have inside information,” Habba informed Doocy.

“What insider information?” Doocy asked him.

Internal informationSteve,” Habba started to answer before putting Doocy in the moment. “And you know, you used to love Trump…I gotta tell you!”

He was obviously referring to the fact that Doocy seems to have adopted the role of a skeptical Fox News host when it comes to all things Trump after the Dominion lawsuit. He challenges much of what the former president says and opposes his supporters regularly, especially when it comes to “rigged” elections or claims of election interference.

“This is something I don’t want to breach, right? I have confidentiality, I have ethics and I will continue”, continued Habba.

He told Doocy, “I think you have to understand something. When somebody gets a report and they have reports that show there was interference … and a lawyer can advise you to say, ‘Oh, I don’t think so. ‘, and you can have another lawyer say, ‘No. , I think so,’ and here are some reports. And we know that there was trouble in Fulton County, right? We know that… it’s not a question. There there were electoral problems and the integrity of our elections is in question at this point.”

“And when he says, ‘I want to look at it. I don’t trust it. We have to look at it. This is his duty as president. Look at Letitia James, for example, Steve. Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, stood at a podium, who is suing the Trump Organization, and said, “President Trump is an illegitimate president.” Now, will she be criminally charged? What about Hillary Clinton?” Habba concluded.
