Video shows troopers throwing paintballs at citizens on their own porches to enforce lockdowns while Walz watered

-

Before Gov. Tim Walz became Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, he oversaw the state of Minnesota as it was devastated by the 2020 George Floyd protests.

While everyone remembers the curfews that came at the same time as the COVID-19 lockdowns, it's worth remembering how some of those rules were enforced by leaders.

Look:

According to USA Today article from the time this video was first posted, uniformed National Guardsmen flanked by a Humvee could be seen walking the streets to enforce the curfew. At one point, they demanded that several people clear their porch and enter their home. When their demands failed, the officers fired paintballs.

“It's not clear if the video was taken before or after the curfew. An FAQ document released by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety says people can be on their porches during the curfew, but says the people must listen to the orders of the officers,” the article says.

“If a law enforcement officer or other public safety official asks you to enter or take any other action, you must follow the instructions,” the website, which is no longer operational, said.
