Wootson said: “Elon Musk is scheduled to interview Donald Trump tomorrow night on X. I don't know if the president will feel free to say whether he is or not, but I think the misinformation on Twitter is not just a campaign. issue. It's an America issue. What role does the White House or the president play in stopping it, or intervening in it? Part of it was the disinformation of the campaign, but you know , it's a broader thing, right?”

In response, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre acknowledged the problem but did not offer specific details about the administration's actions. She stated: “Yes, no, I know you've heard us talk about this many times from here, about the responsibilities that social media platforms have when it comes to disinformation, disinformation.
