Trump slams Fox News for pushing 'garbage' poll in favor of Biden

President Donald Trump has accused Fox News of manipulating poll results against him.

Trump denounced a new poll showing him losing ground to Democratic President Joe Biden.

According to the Fox News poll, Biden has made a three-point comeback since May, when he was down one point.

The Fox poll shows Biden wins by two points, 50% to 48%.

However, Trump argues that the “garbage” poll has been rigged in Biden's favor.

“Latest Fox News Poll is TRASH!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“They used a skewed, Democratic sample of voters, polling more Biden 2020 than Trump 2020 voters to skew the results in Crooked Joe's favor.

“I'm leading BIG in virtually every other poll, even in all the key battleground states like Wisconsin, where I just held a massive rally, and Pennsylvania, where I'll be on Saturday,” he posted.

The Fox News poll states that 68 percent of respondents said “protecting American democracy” was their top concern.

According to the network, this supposed concern is two percentage points higher than the economy.

Trump points out that this is not true, however.

“Furthermore, the No. 1 issue in this country is not protecting democracy,” he wrote.

“It's INFLATION and IMMIGRATION!”

“If you are protecting democracy, Trump is your best bet, because Crooked Joe Biden is the greatest threat to democracy in history with his open border and weaponization of our justice system against his political opponent, ME !” Trump wrote.

“Fox News polls have never treated me, or MAGA, fairly!

“Don't worry, we will win!!!” he published.

Fox noted that this is the best poll Biden has done this election cycle and the first time he has led Trump since October.

However, the poll noted that Trump had a three-point margin over Biden among the two-thirds of voters in the sample who said they were “extremely” motivated to vote this year.

The poll showed each candidate's partisan base is strong, with 95 percent of Democrats backing Biden and 95 percent of Republicans backing Trump.

The new poll said independents gave Biden a nine-point lead over Trump in that poll.

In May, Trump had a two-point lead among independents.

Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who polls for Fox News with Democrat Chris Anderson, said:

“The underlying demographic trends that have defined the race remain in place.

“Biden has improved slightly with women and seniors, keeping him afloat despite significant declines from 2020 in support among younger and African-American voters.”

The Fox poll showed 1,095 registered voters between June 14 and June 17.

His margin of error was three percentage points.

Trump pointed to Emerson College polls showing Biden leading by a large margin.

According to survey results that Emerson published in its web sitepolls in battleground states showed Trump leading Biden in:

  • Arizona, 47 to 43 percent
  • Georgia, 45 to 41 percent
  • Wisconsin, 47 to 44 percent
  • Nevada, 46 to 43 percent
  • Pennsylvania, 47 to 45 percent
  • Michigan, 46% to 45%.

The site noted that in Minnesota, Biden and Trump are tied at 45 percent support each.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said:

“In our first poll of several key states since Trump's conviction last month, there has been little movement, with support for both Trump and Biden holding steady since November.”

Emerson's survey took place June 13-18.

Each state had a sample of 1,000 registered voters.

“The credibility interval, similar to a poll's margin of error, for the sample is +/- 3 percent in 19 of 20 cases in each state,” Emerson noted.

The real clear vote average of polls show Trump leading Biden by 46% to 45.5%.
