Trump's post came just as Biden was wrapping up his remarks, turning the spotlight back on the ongoing presidential campaign and the debate drama unfolding between Trump and the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris.

In the middle of the opening day of the DNC, Trump stated that Harris had opted out of a proposed debate on Fox News, which had been scheduled for September 4.

In his post, Trump didn't mince words: “Comrade Kamala Harris just informed us that she will NOT be doing the FoxNews debate on September 4. I am not surprised by this development because I feel that she knows that it is very difficult, in at best, for her to defend her record by Flip-Flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in, including her NO FRACKING IN Pennsylvania statements and her HORRIBLE performance on the border, ours “Tsar of the Border”, where millions of criminals and people from mental institutions and terrorists have been allowed to pour into our country, completely unchecked and unchecked. It's called, and he LOVES it, an OPEN BORDER!!!”

Trump announced that instead of the debate, he would participate in a Tele-Town Hall hosted by Sean Hannity on Fox, to be held in Pennsylvania, with more details to come.
