The Democratic National Convention had already seen its share of action when one protester received a “We love each other Joe” sign.
The protester, a woman wearing a hijab, had held up a “Stop Arming Israel” banner during a speech by President Joe Biden, after which an aide can be seen hitting her on the head with the long sign.

In a less violent version of protesting the anti-Israel message, WaPo reporter Dylan Wells reported that delegates tried to cover the banner with their own “We Love Joe” signs.

At another point, attendees tried to tear the banner from the protesters:
