President Trump has already won the Republican primaries by a landslide. No rival has come remotely close to threatening his dominance. In this cycle, the real race is to be his vice president, and only one candidate for that job will cement President Trump's legacy as the greatest president in modern history: Tucker Carlson.

Contrary to conventional wisdom, President Trump does not need a conventional vice president. He does not need someone to support his electoral coalition. Donald Trump is the Republican Party; everyone who doesn't like it has left. President Trump does not need another Mike Pence. He needs a vice president he can trust, both in this campaign and beyond. He needs someone to make sure the historic movement he started doesn't end with him.

All mainstream candidates will betray the president, as they have already done by entering the race against him. They are downloaders who offer no value to Trump. They want to return Washington to the status quo that President Trump overturned. They want to terraform a new swamp.

Sen. Tim Scott and Gov. Kristi Noem tick the demographic boxes that consultants like, but they won't be sticking with Trump next fall. They are career politicians who will follow where the wind blows. They are unreliable and lack the talent to build on President Trump's legacy.

Nikki Haley doesn't have Trump's back either. As President Trump faces legal challenges designed to remove him from the race, Haley will lend her voice to liberals working to remove him. She is out by herself. Taking Trump out of the picture will erase the field of his political ambitions. It will undermine President Trump's vision at every turn, not build upon it.

Tucker Carlson is loyal to the person and vision of President Trump. That, of course, doesn't mean Tucker isn't willing to be critical of Trump's decisions. It is precisely because of Tucker's loyalty to the Trump America First legacy that, at certain times, Tucker would take to his television audience to express his displeasure (for, say, Trump's hiring of John Bolton). True loyalty is not only compatible with constructive criticism; it requires it Contrast that with the seemingly endless line of sycophants salivating at the first opportunity to stick the knife in Trump when it counts. No one has denounced the corrupt judicial campaign against President Trump more vocally than Tucker Carlson. No one is safer turning their back on bogus charges filed by rogue prosecutors. All the career politicians will come down on him, just like they came down on him when the Access Hollywood tapes dropped. Indeed, by the very act of running for president, the current crop of candidates has tried Trump's shoes on for size. If they're playing nice now, it's because they realize their collective effort to get him out has failed.

With Tucker as his number two, President Trump will have a deputy who can match his ferocious pace on the campaign trail, overwhelming the opposition with energy and enthusiasm. The Biden camp, or whoever nominated the Democrats, won't know what hit them. Tucker Carlson has the star power and charisma to hit the campaign hard. President Trump will almost certainly be confined to a courtroom for large parts of the campaign season. He needs someone who can go out and rally voters on his behalf. None of the others can draw a crowd. They are politicians, not entertainers.

In Tucker Carlson, President Trump will have a potential successor who can build on his legacy and force the establishment to take him seriously in his second term. Without the prospect of continuity, Washington will see a second Trump term as an inconvenient but temporary obstacle to its plans. Tucker Gives President Trump Strength; ensures that President Trump is not dismissed as a lame duck from his first day in office. And the establishment is almost as afraid of Tucker as it is of Trump. With Tucker as his vice, Trump can play good cop to Tucker's bad cop, a negotiating technique that President Trump used to great effect, ironically, with John Bolton in his first term.

The Trump-Carlson ticket will have unparalleled reach and set a new, high standard for politics in this century. Tucker amplifies President Trump's message, as they prove record interview this past fall. Trump-Carlson would be a media sensation unlike anything this country has ever seen. And that's why, along with Tucker's loyalty to the president, Tucker is the only choice guaranteed to win in '24.

Simply put, President Trump needs loyalty, in 2024, in the White House and beyond. Tucker offers that in spades and the possibility of a legacy-defining move. Tucker Carlson ensures that President Trump's second act delivers on what he promised in 2016. He ensures that President Trump becomes the man who stopped the decline of our country and ensures that he will forever be remembered as the man who make america great again
