The sexelins of Gosselin celebrate the 20th anniversary in the middle of a family drama

Kate Gosselin, the mother of the famous sextuplets from the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, recently celebrated her 20th birthday with a rare photo of the four of them. However, two of the six children, Collin and Hannah, were notably absent from the celebration, reflecting the ongoing family drama that has played out over the years.

The Gosselin family rose to fame after Kate and her then-husband Jon Gosselin gave birth to twins and sextuplets. Their unique family situation led to two documentaries and eventually a reality show. However, the couple's relationship deteriorated, leading to a separation and eventual divorce, all of which was caught on camera.

After the divorce, Collin and Hannah chose to live with their father, Jon. Collin in particular had a rough time, allegedly acting out and rebelling during filming. He was reportedly diagnosed with a behavioral disorder at age 12 and sent to an independent school. He was later sent to live at the Fairmount Behavioral Health System, a psychiatric hospital in Philadelphia. Kate stated that she was unable to meet her needs with her own resources.

However, Collin claimed that his mother sent him away because he was disclosing his abusive treatment at home. Kate denied these allegations as completely unfounded. In 2017, Collin wrote a letter to his father asking for help, leading Jon to fight and win full custody of both Collin and Hannah.

Hannah is currently the only sibling in a relationship with Collin. According to her, the rest of the brothers have chosen not to have any relationship with him. Collin has not spoken to his other siblings since 2016, suggesting a deep divide within the family. This family saga continues to captivate fans of the once popular reality TV show.
