The NY Times fires at Biden for his insensitivity to his seventh grandchild

The New York Times has finally decided to go after President Joe Biden with ferocity and vigor.

Has Biden’s unconstitutional actions, such as his military support for an undeclared proxy war, ended? No. Are the credible allegations that he participated in a bribery network overcome? Forget about it. Has he gone through his classified documents scandal, which is far worse than Trump’s? Die the thought. Is it because of their complicity in violating the rights of Americans with state-sanctioned censorship of dissent? Please try again. Is it for electoral interference by making an arrest for political reasons of an opponent of the presidential campaign? Great fun.

No, the journalistic battle the Old Gray Lady has chosen to wage is that of Biden’s illegitimate seventh grandchild, Navy Joan Roberts, who was born to Hunter Biden’s excommunicated mother.

“My sister and I often disagree on politics, but this is not a political issue for us,” chides Maureen Dowd, the usually reliable state-controlled media reporter. “He’s a human.”

“Joe Biden’s mantra has always been that ‘the most important thing is your family,'” he continued. “It’s at the heart of his political narrative. Empathy, born of family tragedies, has been his stock in trade . The cruel scarring of Navy life, just as it begins, undercuts that.”

“As Times White House correspondent Katie Rogers wrote in a disturbing front-page story last weekend about Hunter’s unwanted son, Biden is so sensitive” that only the president’s most senior advisers tell him about his son,” he added. “Rogers said that ‘in strategy meetings in recent years, aides have said the Bidens have six, not seven, grandchildren.’ Jill Biden dedicated her 2020 children’s book to her six grandchildren.”

“What the Navy story reveals is how dated and inauthentic the view of the 80-year-old president’s family is,” Dowd adds.

The New York Times story surprised some media observers, who did not expect the publication to take Biden to task over the family controversy.

Wow.@MaureenDowd is usually just a political pain in the ass.

So (big) cheers to her (and her sister) for the moral clarity in writing this non-political, principled @NYTimes op-ed.

“All Americans know that Joe Biden should have done the right thing years ago and recognized ALL of his grandchildren. It is cold, heartless, selfish and cowardly that the President of the United States cannot show love or compassion to the his beautiful granddaughter.” pic.twitter.com/g8AYlPngsP

The Biden family imbroglio has even drawn criticism from moderates and independents.

Politics aside, Joe Biden’s refusal to have anything to do with his granddaughter, and his demands that everyone working in the White House avoid any mention of her, is absolutely repulsive.

I honestly don’t understand how anyone can do that: https://t.co/Kc9Mb9YOBU

I really can’t wrap my head around the cruelty of Pres. Biden refused to acknowledge his granddaughter. This will be a real problem. People understand Hunter’s battle with addiction, they don’t understand abusing an innocent child. https://t.co/HouYSYd3Eg

In early July, White House aides were told not to say the actual number of grandchildren President Joe Biden has, the Daily Caller reported. They were also asked to omit the child Hunter Biden had out of wedlock.
