Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has signed a measure related to restrictions on “adult-oriented” performances.
The measure establishes that the actions must not take place on public property, allow the attendance of minors, or charge for the use of public funding.
The measure states that “adult-oriented performance” refers to performance intended to “appeal to lewd interest” and that includes full or partial nudity, “a specific sexual activity” or the intentional exposure of ‘”a specific anatomical area” or “genital prostheses or breasts”.
Sanders, who was sworn in as governor in January, delivered the Republican address to the nation earlier this month after President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.
“The dividing line in America is no longer right or left. The choice is sane or crazy,” he declared during the speech, later adding that “the Biden administration is doubling down on madness”.
“President Biden is unwilling to defend our border, defend our skies, and defend our people. He is simply unfit to serve as commander in chief,” the governor declared. He added: “Even as it reaps the consequences of its failures, the Biden administration seems more interested in fantasy than the harsh reality that Americans face every day.”
Sanders, who is the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, previously served as White House press secretary for part of President Donald Trump’s term.
Earlier this month, he tweeted: “Biden adamantly refuses to secure the border, prevent fentanyl from pouring across it and save American lives. Total disgrace.”
