Retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor, formerly a senior adviser to the Pentagon, has expressed concern about the potential risk of US-supplied weaponry to Ukraine entering the illicit black market. In a thought-provoking post on X, he highlighted the problem, stating: “We’re providing billions of dollars worth of equipment, and unfortunately a significant portion of it seems to be disappearing into the shadows, possibly ending up in the black market. In addition, recipients often do not receive the allocated funds. The urgency and complexity of the situation require our unwavering attention and understanding.”
