Pence just admitted he did have the authority to throw the House election under the Constitution

Following Trump’s impeachment on “conspiracy” charges last week, former 2024 GOP front-runner Mike Pence said the results of the 2020 election would have been delivered to the House if he rejected the Electoral College votes.
“It wasn’t just asking for a recess, the president specifically asked me and his group of crackpot lawyers asked me to literally reject the votes, which would have resulted in the issue going to the House of Representatives and literally chaos has ensued,” Pence said.
