A man was arrested after firing several shots while chasing his stolen truck in Seattle last week, police said.

The man saw his stolen Chevrolet truck in the neighborhood of Mt. Baker while driving his Toyota Camry around 4:45 p.m. Friday, police said.
He followed the stolen truck until it stopped and then confronted the driver, police said.
When the driver drove away, the man fired two shots that struck two nearby residences, police said.
The man chased after his truck, driving erratically through the Columbia City neighborhood until he lost sight of it, police said, adding that he did not call 911 at any point during the incident.
According to witness reports, officers located and stopped the man in his Toyota in the 9300 block of Rainier Avenue South, after which officers detained both occupants and the driver gave officers permission to remove the his car gun.
Police said they verified the stolen Chevrolet truck was registered to the Toyota driver and was reported stolen, but the truck was gone when officers arrived.
Officers booked the 27-year-old man into the King County Jail for the shooting and produced his firearm as evidence, police said, adding that his passenger was released from the scene .
