‘Love You Brother’: A Close Personal Friend of Hunter Biden’s Worked in Prosecutor’s Office Assigned to His Case

Alexander Snyder-Mackler, a long-standing associate of Hunter Biden and the Biden family, functioned as a prosecutor in the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office during its federal investigation into Hunter Biden, a Fox News Digital investigation revealed.

Mackler served as Joe Biden’s press secretary between 2007 and 2008 and legal counsel when he was vice president. He was professionally associated with U.S. attorney in Delaware David Weiss when he led the federal investigation into Hunter Biden for tax fraud and illegal foreign activities.

Verified emails from Hunter’s discarded laptop indicate that Mackler and Hunter Biden were closely connected, with one of Mackler’s emails signed as, “Love you brother.”

Mackler, who has made at least five visits to the White House during the Biden administration, previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney in Delaware under Weiss from August 2016 to May 2019.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Mackler’s involvement in the probe, his professional proximity to Weiss’ team could spark conflict of interest queries from Republicans.

Mackler, currently serving as Delaware’s Deputy Attorney General since May 2019 as per his LinkedIn profile, claimed that he was unaware of the Biden case during his time as a federal prosecutor, only discovering it like the rest of the world from Hunter Biden’s press statement on Dec. 9, 2020.

Visitor logs show Mackler visited the White House five times last year, including a solo meeting with President Biden. He had individual meetings with White House counsel Steve Ricchetti, Biden’s 2024 campaign manager Julie Rodriguez, and Claudia Marconi, senior advisor for congressional engagement, along with attending a White House event in December.

Texts and emails reveal that Mackler has kept in regular contact with Hunter Biden for several years. Mackler was reportedly deeply affected by Hillary Clinton’s defeat to former President Donald Trump, venting his frustrations to Hunter Biden and Eric Schwerin, president of Hunter Biden’s now-dissolved Rosemont Seneca Partners.

“I’m trying very hard to take solace in the fact that more people in this country feel like us than like Trump’s people,” Mackler said.

“It’s hard,” he wrote to Hunter Biden and Schwerin one day after the 2016 election.

Denials from Weiss about claims by two IRS whistleblowers asserting interference by the Justice Department, FBI, and IRS with Weiss’ investigation into President Biden’s son have been ongoing. Concurrently, a joint investigation into the federal probe into Hunter Biden and whether politics influenced prosecutorial decisions is underway by the House Oversight Committee, House Judiciary Committee, and House Ways and Means Committee.

Despite House Republicans demanding testimonies from Weiss and other federal officials, Attorney General Merrick Garland stated in June that Weiss, nominated by President Donald Trump in 2017, had “complete authority” regarding prosecutorial decisions about Hunter Biden.

Lastly, a source close to the Delaware Biden investigation informed the Daily Mail this month that Mackler worked with Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf on a federal case in Delaware and that the two are friends. The Daily Mail reported on July 14 that “there were concerns about Wolf’s ties to the ex-Biden advisor while she was investigating Hunter and that their collegiate relationship was even allegedly referred to the ‘Designated Agency Ethics Officer’ for Weiss’s office.”

Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk added more context on Mackler.

“Surprise surprise…Alexander Mackler, a man who referred to Hunter Biden as ‘brother’, was working in the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office when Hunter was being investigated by the DoJ and IRS,” he said on X. “But to simply call Mackler a Biden insider doesn’t even begin to do it justice. Mackler served as: Press Secretary for Joe Biden’s Senate office, Legal Counsel for Joe Biden’s Vice Presidential office, Beau Biden’s campaign chief to become Delaware’s AG. But wait, there’s more… He was also on the Biden-Harris transition team helping ‘create the blueprint for its Justice Department.’”

“That’s right,” Kirk added. “A man who helped Joe Biden create our current weaponized DoJ just so happened to be in the perfect spot to help it obstruct an investigation into more serious corruption charges involving the president and his son. Total coincidence I’m sure!”

Hunter Biden has been under federal scrutiny since 2018 over his “tax affairs,” following the detection of suspicious activity reports (SARs) concerning funds from “China and other foreign nations.”

The investigation culminated in Biden conceding to two misdemeanor counts of intentional failure to pay federal income tax last month and entering a pretrial diversion agreement regarding a separate charge of firearm possession by an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance. Hunter Biden recently appeared in court for a review of his “sweetheart” plea deal.
