When the corporate media wasn't ignoring Vice President Kamala Harris' actual record in favor of demonizing former President Donald Trump for a debunked association with Project 2025, they were coordinating messages about their running mate. As he did with the outcry over his “childless cat ladies” comment, Vance didn't mince words when asked if he was considered “weird,” attributing the label to “24-year-old social media interns “.

Joining the “Full Send” podcast for an interview that premiered Friday, the first-year lawmaker was asked about the echo chamber accusation about his personality and replied, “I don't know if it's like something they focused on and decided to push us.. Like, I'm a pretty normal guy and I like to hang out and, you know, watch football I care about the country.”

“My take on this is: My best guess, this is just a total guess, is that his campaign is run by a lot of 24-year-old social media interns who maybe got bullied in school and have now made up their minds. they will do the same,” he continued. “They're going to take that middle school social scene-like attitude and try to campaign there.”

“I just don't think most Americans buy it or care,” stated the best-selling author.

Vance previously defended remarks he made during a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson in which he argued, “In this country we are effectively run, through the Democrats, through our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless catwomen who are miserable with their own lives and the choices they've made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”

He would do it he said Fox News anchor Trey Gowdy said: “If you look at the full context of what I said, it's very clear that the Democrats have tried to take this out of context and blow it out of proportion, which is what they always do because they do it” . They don't have an agenda for themselves.”

Trump also defended his running mate Thursday during an appearance on “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” when Travis asked about the narrative in light of leftists like Harris who support men competing in women's sports.

“They're the odd ones out,” the president snapped. “Nobody's ever called me weird. I'm a lot of things, but I'm not weird. Neither is he, I'll tell you that. JD isn't weird at all.”

“They are. I mean, who wants to have open borders where prisoners, this is weird, where prisoners and mental institution patients are taken out of hospitals and prisons and allowed into our country,” Trump continued . “This is strange. Who would want this policy? Who wants men in women's sports politics? Who wants to quadruple your taxes? It's all strange, and the way they run elections is strange.”

“We're not weird people, we're actually quite the opposite,” the GOP leader added. “We're right in the middle.”

Vance, meanwhile, brushed off the attacks, saying, “My attitude is like, I'm just going to be who I am and if they want to attack me for whatever they attack me for, that's fine. You just have to tough it out and do the yours”.
