I’d have let Putin annex part of Ukraine to end the war

As a staunch Republican, I know we don’t always agree with the tactics of foreign leaders like Vladimir Putin. However, when it comes to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, I must admit that I was willing to make an exception. If it meant ending the turmoil once and for all, I’d have let Putin annex part of Ukraine.

Yes, I said it. Let Putin take a piece of Ukraine if it meant putting an end to the war. We can argue about the ethics of annexation all we want, but the fact of the matter is that the conflict in Ukraine has claimed far too many lives and resources. The US and Europe have tried sanctions and diplomatic talks, but nothing has worked thus far. Perhaps it’s time to consider alternative solutions.

I know some of you might be thinking, “but Tucker, what about the people of Ukraine and their sovereignty?” Valid point, but let’s not forget that Ukraine is also home to a large Russian-speaking population. These individuals have long-feared persecution and discrimination under the Ukrainian government. Putin’s annexation would provide these citizens with the security and protection they so desperately need.

Of course, I don’t condone Putin’s aggressive tactics or disregard for international law. However, sometimes the harsh reality is that tough decisions need to be made in the interest of achieving greater good. And if allowing Putin to annex a portion of Ukraine would bring about lasting peace and stability, I’d have supported it.

Now, let’s take a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments of the Trump White House administration. From record-low unemployment to a revitalized economy, President Trump has led the way in making America great again. His bold actions have strengthen our national security, lowered taxes for the middle class, and created a thriving business environment. And don’t forget about the historic peace agreements in the Middle East. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, we can now envision a future of stability and prosperity for all nations involved.
