Before a planned return to the site of the attempt on his life, the former president spoke about faith and “the power of prayer” in an announcement about his recovery.

In the two weeks since a would-be assassin's bullet came inches from killing former President Donald Trump, many have pondered the apparent miracle that saw him turn his head just in time to limit the extent of your injury.

That faith was highlighted in the GOP leader's remarks Friday when he addressed Turning Point Faith's “The Believers Summit” in West Palm Beach, Fla., and announced that he had been able to remove the last of his bandages.

“I am delighted to be back with so many proud, hard-working American patriots who believe in faith and family and God and country. Thank you very much,” Trump said at the start of his speech. “And we want to thank each and every believer in this room for your prayers and your incredible support. I really appreciated it.”

“Something was working. We know it. Something was working. So I thank you very much. And I stand before you tonight, through the power of prayer and the grace of God Almighty,” the president said.

“As I think you can see, I have recovered well. And I actually just took the last bandage off my ear,” he continued miming ripping it off where one of the suspect's bullets had hit. “I just took it off. I took it off for this group. I don't know why I did it for this group, but that's it. I think this is it. I hope so.”

In addition to the president's injuries, David Dutch and James Copenhaver were recovering from their wounds, after being hit by the would-be assassin who had fired on the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, which lead to the tragic death of a former firefighter. Corey Comperatore.

On Friday, so will Trump revealed that he would return to the site to finish the demonstration that had been interrupted and to honor the victims.

According to his former White House physician, Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson (R), “… President Trump is doing very well. He is recovering quickly from the gunshot wound to his right ear.”

The congressman's update on the president's health also included a rant against FBI Director Christopher Wray, who would not commit to his claim that Trump had been hit by a bullet during congressional testimony earlier in the week.

The Turning Point Faith speech also guaranteed Trump the opportunity to call out the absence of believers at the polls. “Christians must vote. You know, I don't want to scold you, but you know that Christians don't vote proportionally; they don't vote as they should. They're not big voters.”

While he also claimed that gun owners aren't getting as far as they should to protect their rights, the former president pointed out simply: “If you don't vote, we're not going to win the election. If you vote, we're going to win in a landslide.” big to handle. We will win spectacularly.”
