Actor James Woods is a conservative. Or, should we call him a “former” actor since it's been a decade since Hollywood radicals have allowed him to have a substantial acting role.
He rarely does interviews, but he made an exception for former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. During the interview, he described how it's been hard for him to be open about his political views, but that he won't stop because it's still the United States of America… for now.

Others who work in Hollywood often come to him in secret and tell him things like they are considering voting for Donald Trump. But the unestablished can't be as outspoken as Woods, Jon Voight, or the handful of well-known actors who made their mark before being conservative meant being blacklisted.
He talked about what his role as an executive producer is like Oppenheimer it was snubbed because they didn't want the Academy Awards voters, the vast majority of whom are radical leftists, to make the film because of its implication.
“When Oppenheimer came out, there was a discussion about my Twitter and it was gently suggested that I basically remain invisible, which was hurtful,” he said. “On the other hand, I'm a pragmatic person and I thought a lot of people were putting effort into this, so I'm just going to be an invisible outcast…I stepped back and basically took one for the team.”
But there is good news that came from being involved in the award-winning film. He has at least two projects as part of his “second act,” including an upcoming project with Oliver Stone.
As has always been the case, Woods didn't hold back. He has always spoken his mind and is not averse to being controversial even when being playful.
“I can't believe I just asked Megyn Kelly on the air to do a threesome,” he said at one point.
