Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist and executive chairman of Breitbart News, recently declared war on the Republican establishment in a speech at the annual Values Voter Summit. Bannon, who has been a long-time critic of the GOP establishment, declared that he was “declaring war” and that he would be “leading an insurgency” against the Republican establishment.

In his speech, Bannon targeted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and several other GOP leaders. He called for the Republican Party to be held accountable for its failure to pass President Trump’s agenda, including repealing and replacing Obamacare. Bannon also criticized the Republican Party for its support of free trade agreements and its failure to address immigration reform.

Bannon’s speech was met with both cheers and boos from the crowd, as some Republicans in attendance voiced their opposition to his message. However, Bannon’s message was clear: the Republican establishment must be held accountable for its failure to pass President Trump’s agenda. Bannon also announced that he would be launching a new organization, Citizens of the American Republic, to help promote his message.

Bannon’s speech has been seen as a major challenge to the Republican establishment and its leadership. It remains to be seen how the Republican Party will respond to Bannon’s declaration of war. However, it is clear that Bannon’s message has struck a chord with many of President Trump’s supporters, who are eager to see the Republican Party return to its conservative roots.
