‘You love to see him’

-

“Go wake up, break.”

It’s a lesson even beauty “queens” need to learn.

Just days before the new Miss Universe is crowned, the pageant’s transgender owner Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip announced that the pageant will go on despite her Thai company, JKN Global Group, being forced to file for bankruptcy .

After the tip of Jakrajuta bought the Miss Universe Organization for $20 million in 2022 amid alleged cheating and sexual harassment scandals, the biological male declared“from now on [the pageant] it will be led by women.”

Since then, two men who identify as women have made the cut for Miss Universe: Marina Machete of Portugal and Rikkie Kollé of the Netherlands.

“Turns out people didn’t like boys winning their beauty pageants,” one X user wrote about the bust.

According to his web siteJKN Global Group “recently announced its strategic corporate financial management plan to deal with the current financial situation.”

“We are confident that the new plan will support all of the company’s business operations, including Miss Universe,” he said.

Miss Universe 2023, which will be held in El Salvador on November 18, will offer fans “a world-class experience,” the company promised. “We reaffirm that the legacy of Miss Universe will be carried out by JKN Global Group as envisioned from the beginning.”

AX, Jakrajutatip explained that “Bankruptcy simply means that your business is gone, but the BUSINESS REHABILITATION program means that JKN aims to preserve the continuity and integrity of businesses, enabling JKN to generate improved returns for creditors and investors through restructuring efforts.”

In accordance with CNNJKN “missed a loan repayment deadline of about $12 million that was due on September 1.”

“In its filing, the company said it planned to restructure its debt and extend the repayment period to overcome what it called a ‘liquidity problem,'” the company reports.

Back to X, the need for JKN’s “rehabilitation” came as a surprise to few. In fact, many users are cheering.

One user suggested that Miss Universe needs more than financial rehabilitation, given its current direction.

“Should they say it more Miss Universe? It seems very binary and hurtful,” reasoned the user. “Shouldn’t Them Universe, or They Universe?”
