The U.S. Office of Management and Budget is urging Congress to get its act together to throw tens of billions of taxpayer dollars into the sucking black hole of Ukraine's war against Russia, one of President Joe Biden's top priorities.
With ongoing funding for the conflict becoming a political hot potato with many House Republicans reluctant to continue handing out to one of the most notoriously corrupt countries on the planet despite incessant begging from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the director of Biden's OMB, Shalanda Young, sent a letter to congressional leaders stressing the “urgency” of reopening the cash spigots.
“I want to be clear: Without action by Congress, by the end of the year we will run out of resources to acquire more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from the US military stockpile,” Young wrote in a letter to the House and Senate. leaders “There is no magic pot of funding available to meet this moment. We are out of money and almost out of time.”

The Democratic Party apparatchik warned that continued foot-dragging by Congress would make a “clothing” of the Ukrainian military, suggesting that failure to act promptly would play into Vladimir Putin's hands.
“If our assistance stops, it will cause significant problems for Ukraine,” the OMB chief wrote. “While our allies around the world have stepped up to do more, America's support is critical and cannot be replicated by others.”
The letter was addressed to House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (DN.Y.), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (DN.Y. .) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. (R-Ky.) asking them to approve funding for weapons and other aid at a time when there are far more pressing problems at home.
“If Ukraine's economy collapses, they won't be able to keep fighting, period,” Young said.
“Putin understands this well, which is why Russia has made the destruction of Ukraine's economy the centerpiece of its strategy, which can be seen in its attacks on grain exports and energy infrastructure of 'Ukraine,' Young wrote in his letter.
Despite the split in his caucus, the new speaker-elect is on pace for the White House to get more money into Zelenskyy's hands to finance the proxy war against Putin, as Republican lawmakers work to sweeten the latest gift with some minor additions to address the nation's problem. catastrophic crisis of illegal immigration.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who has been one of the most vocal opponents of the Zelenskyy regime's continued defense at the expense of national priorities, disagreed with Johnson.
“I disagree with President Johnson's plan to fund Ukraine in exchange for border policy victories. Democrats will never enforce our secure border policies, they would only use them as a victory at the ballot box,” wrote MTG in X last week. “And Ukraine is a losing war full of corruption that most Americans don't support. That's a bad strategy.”

“Ukraine is not the 51st state or a member of NATO,” noted the fiery Georgian lawmaker. “Stop funding Ukraine!”
“I must emphasize that helping Ukraine defend itself and secure its future as a sovereign, democratic, independent and prosperous nation advances our national security interests,” Young said. “It avoids a larger conflict in the region that could involve NATO and endanger US forces and deter future aggression, making us all safer. As President Biden has said, when dictators don't pay a price by their aggression, they will cause more chaos and death and destruction. They simply continue, and the cost and threats to America and the world will continue to rise. The path Congress chooses will have repercussions for years to come,” Young wrote in the letter
“We lack the money to support Ukraine in this fight. This is not an issue for next year. The time to help a democratic Ukraine fight Russian aggression is now. It's time for Congress to act.” , Biden's OMB chief concluded.
