Trump says Walz asked for help in 2021 when MAGA protesters gathered outside governor's mansion

Interestingly, former President Trump had a brief interaction with Kamala Harris' Vice President Tim Walz in the past and apparently saved his bacon from an angry mob.

Trump did a phone interview with “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday, and co-host Brian Kilmeade wanted his take on Walz. The former president said he knew him “a little bit” and recounted a call he received from Walz when he needed help dealing with a group of protesters during the George Floyd riots.

“I know him a little bit. I helped him a lot during the riots because his house was surrounded by people waving an American flag. They don't seem like very bad people. And he called me and he was very, very, very worried that he was going to get out of hand. They only had one guard, I guess he was at the mansion or his house somehow,” Trump explained.

“And he called me and I said, 'What do you want me to do? I was in the White House. He said, 'If you could say that I'm a good person,' and I did, I left the floor. I said that he's a good person. I hope everything goes well. And they took their flags and MAGA flags and left,” he added.

“And that was the first time I was like, 'Wow, that's really interesting.' And he called me back and thanked me so much. That's the only thing I've ever had to do with him. He's a very , very liberal, and it's a shocking choice. And I couldn't be more excited,” Trump said.

Former President Trump fully understands the existential stakes we face if Kamala Harris and Tim Walz somehow win the presidential election, commenting that it will turn our country “immediately communist.”

President Biden already has us very, very much on this particular path. Harris and Walz would simply put the icing on the cake…although it would be a very thick communist icing.

“There's never been a ticket like this,” Trump proclaimed. “This is a ticket that would want this country to go communist immediately, if not sooner.”

Socialism is just light communism and Harris has been in that camp forever. She is more radical than the socialist Bernie Sanders and despite the left and the media trying to erase her past and paint her as a moderate, nothing could be further from the truth. As Gov. Ron DeSantis said, Walz is almost a mirror image of her. Democrats try to portray him as a good guy who hunts and fishes. They consider him a veteran, a former coach and also a former teacher. This is all the window dressing of communist policies he supports along with Harris. Policies they won't even put on their campaign site.

Trump isn't alone in using “communist” to describe Harris, either. Elon Musk hit back at her, calling the vice president “literally a communist” in a post on X.

The former president also hit out at Walz for his radical record.

“If you look at her record, no walls, no security, let everybody in, she's worse than them. You know, nobody knew how radical left she was, but he's a smarter version of her,” he remarked Trump, referring to Harris.

“If you want to know the truth, it's probably about the same as Bernie Sanders. It's probably more than Bernie Sanders. It's more than Bernie Sanders. That's got to be your guide, Bernie Sanders, and it's not a great guide “, he noted.

Walz has a horrible record pushing a myriad of leftist stances, including railing against the Second Amendment. He is pro-abortion and he is in favor of gender-bending policies when it comes to children as well. He is a big supporter of the New Green Deal and wants to keep the borders wide open. Trump was right to call Walz a “shocking pick,” but on the bright side, he's a gift to the Republican Party.

“He's very heavy on transgender, anything transgender, he thinks it's great, and that's not where the country is at anything,” Trump commented. “This is a shocking choice, and I think it's very insulting to Jews, and I think it's very insulting to people who want security. I think it's very insulting to anything that has to do with making America great again “.
