Actor Angel Salazar, famous for his role as Chi Chi in the 1983 film “Scarface,” has died at the age of 68. Salazar died peacefully in his sleep at a friend's house in Brooklyn over the weekend, his representative Ann Wingsong confirmed. TMZ.

A friend discovered Salazar's body Sunday morning. While the official cause of death has not been released, Wingsong noted that Salazar had been battling heart problems.
Born in 1956, Salazar rose to prominence with his role as Chi Chi, Tony Montana's sidekick to Al Pacino in “Scarface.” The film, which also starred Michelle Pfeiffer and Steven Bauer, quickly became a cult classic and earned Pacino a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor.
In addition to his iconic role in “Scarface,” Salazar appeared in several other films, including “Where the Buffalo Roam” (1980), “A Stranger is Watching” (1982) and “The Wild Life” (1984). He also appeared in “Sylvester” (1985) and “Punchline” (1988) before appearing in another Pacino film, “Carlito's Way” (1993).
