Rob Roos, a Dutch MEP who gained notoriety for exposing Pfizer, is sounding the alarm for the European Parliament and member states to forge a deal to force all citizens to use digital identity verification.
“Breaking: Very bad news,” Roos posted on X. “The European Parliament and Member States have just reached an agreement to introduce digital identity, #eID“.
“Immediately after, #EU Commissioner Breton said: “Now that we have a digital identity wallet, we need to put something on it…”, suggesting a connection between #CBDC and eID,” Roos added, referring to central bank digital currency (CBDC).
“They ignored all the privacy experts and security specialists,” he continued. “They are pushing everything forward. I’m not optimistic. But it’s still not too late. Parliament has yet to vote on this. Let your MEP know that you oppose digital identity and want your MEP to vote against it!
The Council of the European Union has made the announcement in a press release.
He did not bother to clarify how digital identification has anything to do with “democratic rights and values”. However, he expanded on how digital identification will be used to monitor citizens and privacy issues.
“The revised regulation constitutes a clear paradigm shift for digital identity in Europe with the aim of ensuring universal access for individuals and businesses to secure and reliable electronic identification and authentication,” he said.
“Under the new law, member states will offer citizens and businesses digital wallets that will be able to link their national digital identities with evidence of other personal attributes (e.g. driving licence, diplomas, bank account),” he continued. “Citizens will be able to prove their identity and share electronic documents from their digital wallets with the click of a button on their mobile phone.”
“The new European digital identity wallets will allow all Europeans to access online services with their national digital ID, which will be recognized across Europe, without having to use private identification methods or share personal data unnecessarily,” he stated “User control ensures that only information that needs to be shared will be shared.”
Nadia Calviño, acting Spanish First Vice-President and Minister of Economy and Digitalisation, commented on the development.
“With the approval of the European digital identity regulation, we are taking a fundamental step so that citizens can have a single and secure European digital identity,” he said. “This is a key advance for the European Union to be a global reference in the digital field, protecting our rights and democratic values.”
As much as the bureaucratic doublespeak sounds from Brussels, many people are rightly asking questions.
One commentator, Shaun Kaven, brought up the Bank for International Settlements’ recently revealed plan to move the world towards CBDCs and the “tokenization” of all assets.
It’s a lot worse than you think, Rob.
I encourage everyone to read the plan written by the BIS (Bank for International Settlements, basically the bank of central banks) https://t.co/qqDpma1iQ1

“It’s a lot worse than you think, Rob. I encourage everyone to read the plan written by the BIS (Bank for International Settlements, basically the bank of Central Banks)…” he wrote.
“It’s long and tedious, but I’ll give you the cliff notes,” he continued. “They want to create a CENTRAL LEDGER for CBDCs. Which you already knew. But there is something else much more insidious. They have a plan to tokenize ALL assets. When they develop it, all assets in the country above a certain value they must be marked and put on the central ledger, or they will be turned over to the government.”
“Oh, you thought you could escape the collapse of the dollar by buying property? No. It will be tokenized and put on the ledger, and according to this document, there will be rules about what can be done with it, how it can be sold or bought , etc.”, he added.
“But I have gold and silver reserves. Another one doesn’t. They also have to be marked. If you don’t tokenize them and the feds find them, you have to hand them over,” he said. “Now, I know many of you will say that you will defend your property and precious metals with your guns but good luck against 50 ATF agents. This is not the way to stop this. It must be stopped before it happens!”
There are also concerns that digital wallets could be used to violate bodily autonomy rights by mandating vaccination or enforcing “social credit scores.”
Digital ID and CBDCs are issues that many say fuel “conspiracy theories.” But if they are “conspiracy theories”, how come we can see their plans in plain sight?
