Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton of Texas announced a fraud investigation into Media Affairs for the United States on Monday night.
Paxton launched the investigation into the left-wing non-profit media after publishing a report On Thursday, he claimed that ads from big companies regularly appeared alongside posts by neo-Nazis and white supremacists, according to a liberation. Apple, Disney, IBM and Paramount were among the companies that advertising paused after the publication of the report.
Journalist Michael Shellenberger, who previously covered Twitter files that discussed censorship on the social media site, reported Monday afternoon publication which was unable to replicate what Media Matters claimed to have observed on Twitter.
“Attorney General Paxton was extremely concerned about allegations that Media Matters, a radical anti-free speech organization, fraudulently manipulated data at X.com (formerly known as Twitter),” the statement said.

X sued Media matters in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Monday.
“We are looking closely at the issue to make sure the public has not been misled by the schemes of radical left-wing organizations that would like nothing more than to limit freedom by reducing participation in the public square,” Paxton said in the communicated
