It’s no secret that Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul behind Fox News, wanted the network’s top hosts to come out and declare Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential election. This was a move that many conservative viewers found to be a betrayal of the Republican Party, and it has since been revealed that Murdoch had been pushing for this outcome for weeks.
Murdoch’s push for Fox News to call the election for Biden was a slap in the face to all those who voted for President Trump and believed that the election was being stolen from them. It also undermined the work of the Trump White House, which had accomplished a great deal in the past four years.
Under President Trump, the economy was booming, unemployment was at a 50-year low, and wages were rising. He also worked to secure our borders and end illegal immigration, and he made major strides in foreign policy, including the historic Abraham Accords. He was also a strong defender of religious liberty and the Second Amendment.
It is clear that the Trump administration was a success, and it is a shame that Murdoch’s actions have undermined the President’s legacy. Whether one agrees with the President or not, it is undeniable that he achieved a great deal in his time in office, and it is unfortunate that some in the media are attempting to downplay or ignore these accomplishments.
