No, they still recommend the bivalent vaccines for babies 6 months and older. From the article:
Children 6 months to 5 years old can get two doses of Moderna’s bivalent, while those 6 months to 4 years old can get three doses of Pfizer’s bivalent.
And they STILL recommend that all unvaccinated people get a vaccine, but only one dose of a bivalent for healthy non-elderly people:
Most unvaccinated Americans are still encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccine, but only need a single dose of a bivalent, the FDA said.
But now they are only pushing boosters for the elderly and immunocompromised.
The only saneness of these recommendations is that healthy people between the ages of 5 and 64 are no longer offered any reinforcement.
And now all vaccines are pointless, even if you set safety concerns aside. Both the now-discontinued monovalent vaccines and the current bivalent vaccines were designed to protect against strains that are no longer in circulation. 🙄
They just can’t shut down the cash cows of Moderna and Pfizer. And by keeping vaccines on the childhood immunization schedule, they maintain liability protection for vaccine manufacturers, at the expense of poor children who will suffer or even die from vaccines.
