Newly released Jan. 6 video footage obtained by Fox News host Tucker Carlson shows Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick walking around the capitol after he was allegedly killed by protesters.
Sicknick was walking around the capitol rotunda wearing a helmet after he was reportedly hit in the head with a fire extinguisher, killing him. A number of media outlets, including the New York Times, reported or implied that Sicknick was beaten to death by protesters on January 6.
Carlson called it “the most powerful and politically useful lie Democrats have ever told us about January 6th.”
Although the Times eventually retracted its claim, other media still claim that Sicknick was “murdered” on January 6, even though the autopsy report shows that he died of “natural causes” a day after January 6.
Tucker explained how the footage shows Sicknick casually walking around the Capitol “after he was allegedly killed by the mob outside.”
Noting how the officer was wearing a helmet, he commented: “It’s hard to imagine he was killed by a head injury.”
“What happened to Brian Sicknick was clearly not the result of the violence he suffered at the entrance to the Capitol. This tape overturns the most powerful and politically useful lie Democrats have told us about 6 January,” he remarked.
“They refused to release this tape to the public because this tape would break the fraud they were perpetrating on the country, because hiding the truth served their political interests,” he added.
