Two Lululemon employees in Georgia are speaking out after they say they were fired for contacting police during an attempted robbery.
Jennifer Ferguson, a former assistant manager, and Rachel Rogers, an employee at a Lululemon store in metro Atlanta, were fired by the retailer after an incident captured on video. Video footage shows Ferguson and Rogers confronting masked robbers who entered the store to steal items.

In the video, Ferguson can be heard telling the robbers to leave, but they initially ignore her and continue looting. Finally, they leave the store and flee in a waiting vehicle. Employees then called the Gwinnett Police Department to report the theft.
However, they claim that this action led to their subsequent termination from the store. While the employees were not given specific reasons for their firings, management cited the company’s “zero tolerance policy.”
“The safety and security of our employees and guests is always Lululemon’s highest priority, and we have policies and protocols in place to maintain a safe environment,” a company spokesperson said. “We take theft and vandalism very seriously and our focus right now is to support our educators as well as continue to work with local partners and law enforcement.”
Ferguson revealed that the store had instructed employees not to interfere during these incidents, but to allow the thieves to carry out their actions.
“We don’t have to get in the way. You have a clear path for anything they do,” Ferguson said of the store’s policy. “And then when it’s over, you scan a QR code. And that’s it. We’ve been told not to put it on any notes, because that might scare other people. We don’t have to call the police, we don’t have to talk -no”.
However, the police managed to arrest the thieves, charging them with the crime of theft. The actions of the fired employees have drawn praise, while critics have slammed Lululemon for the store’s policy.
Marina Medvin, a lawyer, also rated the store’s shares.
