Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman received widespread praise this week from conservatives, including from Fox News' “The Five.”
Why the praise? Because Fetterman has not only been BIG in Israelbut now he is also being great in other matters.
Case in point: While speaking on “The View” this Friday about the expulsion of former Republican Rep. George Santos, Fetterman unexpectedly called for the expulsion of Democratic Rep. Bob Menendez.
“We have a colleague in the Senate who has actually done far more sinister and serious things, Senator Menendez. He needs to go. And if you're going to expel Santos, how can you allow someone like Menendez to remain in the Senate? He said.
“I think Menendez is really one Senator for Egypt, not New Jersey. I really think it has to go,” he added.
Listen:
In an unsealed indictment filed in September, both Menendez and his wife were accused “by federal prosecutors of accepting and accepting bribes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars,” he said. Newsweek.
“The bribes allegedly included gold, luxury vehicles, cash and home mortgage payments to businessmen Wael Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibes, in exchange for allegedly advancing their interest, and benefit of the Arab Republic of Egypt“, Newsweek notes.
However, most Democrats have been silent about Menendez's bad behavior. But not Fetterman, to the surprise of the Fox News anchors. The Five.”
Reacting to Fetterman's comments Friday afternoon, co-host Jeanine Pirro said, “I gotta tell you, at least Fetterman is stringing some sentences together. That's good.”
This was a reference to the congressman's habit speaking incoherently.
Listen to it below:
Co-host Will Cain also chimed in, saying: “He could have passed double the full body. That was a coherent and intelligent response from John Fetterman.
This in turn was a reference aa conspiracy theory which emerged in September.
“This man is a Harvard-educated senator,” countered co-host Harold Ford Jr., the resident liberal.
“Hey, really, it looks like it's getting better and better for him,” Cain continued.
Pirro then noted that it's very rare for the show's conservative hosts to congratulate a Democrat.
“We're congratulating a Democrat, OK? When was the last time you congratulated a Republican?” he asked Ford.
“Onto the last segment!” he joked.
Fetterman has also been showered with praise on social media.
Look at:
I can't believe I agree with Fetterman.

Fetterman is a better spokesman for the Republican Party than the Republicans.

I've agreed with Fetterman a couple of times in the past few weeks. It's a Christmas miracle.

Well done John Fetterman. He continues to amaze me as a man with morals and principles. First Israel, now this.

Left or right, don't we want all our politicians to be this transparent? This is a man who is not bought and speaks to the platform he worked on. Good job, John.

Now that he's recovered, I'm kind of impressed. At least he wants to hold Democrats and Republicans to the same level, which is more than we can say about many other Democrats.

Note what this last user wrote about Fetterman having “recovered”.
For most of the congressman's tenure, he has faced criticism from conservatives for his inability to properly speak according to a stroke that occurred in 2022.
Right-wing sentiment about Fetterman began to change after the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas. Unlike many of his colleagues, the congressman immediately picked up the Israeli flag and began calling for the release of the Israeli hostages.
He even wrapped himself in an Israeli flag while at a pro-Israel rally, deeply impressing conservatives but also deeply angry leftists.
See what conservatives had to say below:
I never thought I'd be rooting for John Fetterman to do the right thing.

I have a new appreciation @SenFettermanPA – has been very outspoken in support of Israel.

Senator Fetterman for the victory with his moral courage and clarity. Who knew!?! I totally changed my view of him.

I don't often agree @SenFettermanPA, but I sincerely thank you for your support. It is important to show Hamas that Israel has strong supporters in the US Congress.

God bless Senator John Fetterman. I'm sure the far left of the Democratic Party thought he was “one of them”. No. It is rallying alongside the country that was brutally attacked. Thank you for your alliance, sir. pic.twitter.com/6WULO3D3Vs
