Left-wing dark money network funding anti-Israel groups rips off millions pushing Ohio’s abortion amendment

-

An Ohio abortion measure on the ballot this month has reportedly been backed with millions in funds from a network of left-wing groups that have also poured more than $10 million into anti-Israel causes.

Dark money groups, with alleged ties to left-wing megadonor George Soros, have been supporting anti-Israel and pro-Hamas groups and are now reportedly pouring millions into pro-abortion efforts in the Ohio State.

“Recent publications reviewed by Fox News Digital show that the progressive fund Sixteen Thirty, which is managed by the Washington, D.C.-based consultancy Arabella Advisors, sent at least $5.4 million to the Ohioans United Reproductive Rights Committee to donate support for Ohio’s constitutional amendment The campaign also received $3.5 million from the George Soros-backed Open Society Policy Center. Fox News reported Wednesday.

“Nonprofit entities in the network managed by Arabella Advisors have funneled at least $10,833,396 to various groups that have sent funds opposed to Israel since 2018, including entities that have supported pro-Palestinian protests, anti-Semitic figures and groups sympathizers with the Hamas terrorists who attacked Israel last month,” the network added.

Groups that support the terrorist group Hamas or have expressed support for attacks on Israel have received $13.7 million from the Center for Open Society Policy that was donated through the Tides Center.

And with a decision on whether Ohio’s state constitution will include abortion language up for grabs on Nov. 7, concerns have arisen about the source of funding for the groups pushing the measure as it ‘they pour out-of-state money into the campaign.

“Ohioans understand how extreme No. 1 really is, but when the money behind it is from liberal groups that also fund pro-Hamas efforts, it’s further proof,” said Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio , on Fox News Digital.

the amendment would do codify the right “to one’s own reproductive medical treatment, including but not limited to abortion” and would prohibit the state from “burdening, penalizing, or prohibiting” those rights.

Reports about the funding sources and their alleged support for anti-Israel groups led to a backlash.

An Open Society spokesperson told Fox News Digital that they “absolutely condemn the brutal attacks against Israeli citizens on October 7” and “regret the lives lost and injured and those held hostage and their families.” .

“Our funding of organizations is a matter of public record,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Many of our fellows have different perspectives and often disagree with each other, but our funding strategy, which has evolved over 20 years, aims to work towards a secure future where rights and freedoms are respected “.

“There is strict US anti-terrorism legislation that determines which organizations a foundation like OSF can fund. We put a lot of effort into ensuring full compliance,” the statement added.

Arabella Advisors also refuted the reports, calling the claims “categorically and demonstrably false.”

“The statements and implications made by the New York Post are categorically and demonstrably false,” a spokesperson for Arabella said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “The grants provided by Arabella’s non-profit clients to the referral organizations were used for projects and purposes that have nothing to do with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Claims otherwise are as false as they are reprehensible.”

“We unequivocally condemn terrorism and violence against civilians, including the terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7. We also condemn anti-Semitism and hatred in all its forms,” the spokesman added. “Arabella and her nonprofit clients support philanthropic initiatives designed to reduce human suffering and believe in building a better future for all people.”
