Leftists, especially blacks, are furious that conservatives are trying to stop a program of racial discrimination from moving forward.
Instituted by San Francisco, the Abundant Birth Project is designed to give “$1,000 a month to nearly 150 [b]lack of residents during part of their pregnancies and the first six months of their children’s lives,” according to the local station. KQED.
As is clear from the description of the program, it only applies to black mothers, making it a blatantly racist program that takes taxpayer dollars and gives it to black people only. It is for this reason that San Francisco has been justifiably sued by civil rights activists.
“The American Civil Rights Project, along with Benbrook Law Group, filed a complaint on May 31 in San Francisco County Superior Court on behalf of plaintiffs Ruth Parker, Ellen Lee Zhou and the Californians for Equal Rights Foundation “, according to the Northern California Record. .
Lawsuit: San Francisco’s race, identity-based ‘guaranteed income’ projects violate Constitution https://t.co/eRGHgiZTqA

The class-action suit targets the city and county of San Francisco, as well as the San Francisco Unified School District, the regents of the University of California, and the secretary of the California Health and Human Services agency , Mark Ghaly, for several years. discriminatory income programsincluding the Abundant Birth Project.
The lawsuit alleges that agencies participating in the programs are violating the 14th Amendment because they “unlawfully select their beneficiaries based on race, ethnicity, gender/gender identity, and sexual orientation.”
“[The] Payment systems also unlawfully discriminate on grounds of gender/gender identity and sexual orientation. Although courts have held that the federal constitution’s equal protection guarantee is more tolerant of such classifications than of racial distinctions, the California Constitution treats sex and sexual orientation as “suspect classifications “”, the lawsuit continues.
According to the Northern California Record, the lawsuit specifically targets the Abundant Birth Project, the Black Economic Equity Movement and the transgender guaranteed income program.
“Whether the explicit creation of programs targeting racial or identity groups, or the use of intentional proxies, ‘no compelling interest supports such discriminatory gifts,'” the complaint alleges.[s]. “Indeed, defendants do not even attempt to identify an interest recognized by the United States Supreme Court as compelling,” the filing notes.
While they all seem like fair arguments, the reaction from leftists, especially to the demand approach in the Abundant Birth Project, has been one of fury, accusing Republicans of being the racists for not passing a racist program.

If whites can’t have something, they will take it, steal it, or destroy it.
— Petty Pablo (@electricsoul123) November 24, 2023
It seems they are only interested in coming after projects that benefit black people. I wonder why???
— Carla W. ️ (@CarlaJWms) November 24, 2023
These groups led by conservatives and libertarians do not want black people to ever have access to the money we have poured into the system!
— Harem Rebels (@Angelic1_Decree) November 24, 2023
This is so embarrassing. They cannot have a situation where blacks are assisted. They want a foot on black people’s necks at all times. This is madness.
— Tonya Kent (@tonya_ck) November 24, 2023
Republicans don’t want to help anyone who needs help, but they especially don’t want to help people of color.
Don’t take that stipend away from him. Expand the program.

“Black women have the highest maternal mortality rate in the US: 69.9 per 100,000 live births in 2021, nearly three times the rate for white women…”
So, of course, conservatives attack the very project that addresses these racial disparities on the grounds that it is discriminatory.— Curiosity Organized ️️⚧️ (@fundthescience) November 25, 2023
To you, it’s not a “claim” that the program is discriminatory, it’s a fact.
Also, many Americans realize this. In fact, for every user X who complained about the outfit, there was user X who rightly pointed out that the outfit is 100% justified.

Laws that specifically benefit or punish people based on protected characteristics are bad, right?
— citizenpew (@citizenpew) November 25, 2023
Well, if I only gave the scholarship to a non-colored group, I know with absolute certainty that some colored groups would sue.
— WMS (@lolpersonified) November 25, 2023
This is beyond justification. Giving away gas money to anyone, regardless of race is ridiculous. Not only that, you don’t need a hand from anyone. period Because?
— Jamie Girl (@Jamie29036) November 26, 2023
And that’s because it discriminates by race. And that is unconstitutional in this country. It should be shut down, or better yet, it should be amended to make it a non-race legal project.
— happy lil terf (@terfforever) November 25, 2023
It is a breed-based program, which establishes benefits based on breed. Why not remove the race part?
Half of black women get paid less? 25% Asian get nothing?
what’s up people
— Michigan-Canadian Front (@MichiganFront) November 24, 2023
The thing with these people is that they have been brainwashed into thinking that racial discrimination and bigotry is okay if it helps black people. However, racial discrimination and bigotry are NEVER acceptable.
