MSNBC reportedly canceled Mehdi Hasan’s show, moving the Sunday night host to a relief host position.
This was said by two people familiar with the matter traffic lights that Hasan will move to a fill-in host and on-camera analyst. MSNBC made the announcement to staff privately Thursday morning.
In place of Hasan’s show, the Medhi Hasan Show, which aired on Sundays at 8 p.m., Ayman Mohyeldin’s weekend show will be extended to two hours, occupying the time slot of at 8 p.m.
Recordings that resurfaced 2022 showed the MSNBC host comparing non-Muslims and atheists to “cattle.”
“All these ulama are unanimously agreed that, at the very least, if Yazid was not a kaffir, he was at least a fasiq, a transgressor, a violator of Islamic laws, a corrupt individual, a tyrant, a murderer, a drunk. a dog lover, a music lover, a homosexual, a pedophile, a sexual deviant, someone who slept with his own mother,” Hasan said in the sermon.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
