The standard reaction of black leftists to criticism is to blame their own mistakes on a supposedly racist system and a “white supremacy” that exists only within their own minds.
Such was the case with Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) President Stacy Davis Gates, who insisted that students' dismal performance on standardized tests despite the expense of $29,028 per student per year is due to, you guessed it, racism and white supremacy.
Gates made his strange claim during an interview with a local black radio station that has drawn attention on social media.
BREAKING: Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates says tests are “junk science rooted in white supremacy” and “born of eugenics.”

“When you hear individuals cite reading levels and math levels of students, and their visceral, thoughtful response is to say, 'how is more money going to be solved?' Don't they have enough money?” asked the host.
“Look at what these students are achieving now because we have a lot of students who are not reading at grade level,” he continued. “There are many students who do not have a level of mathematics. What do you say to this constituency that feels that CTU is already well served and that they are probably getting more than they need?”
“When people talk about success, I know as a classroom teacher that it's not linear, and the way we think about learning and we think about achievement is really based on tests,” Gates responded.
“Which is, at best, junk science rooted in white supremacy,” he added. “Now, if you have another hour, I can explain why standardized testing is born out of the eugenics movement, and the eugenics movement has always tried to see blacks as inferior to non-blacks.”
Gates is the same teachers union president who demanded $50 billion from taxpayers and who sent her own son to private school after calling school choice racist.

His sad but typical take was criticized by X users.
When their policies hurt children, these incompetent people blame their own failures on “white supremacy.”

Radical Marxists run the teachers unions and everyone who pushes the idea that the metrics are racist really hate kids and want them to suffer. He says schools don't exist to help children become productive, critical-thinking adults. She is so terribly evil.

Surprising but not surprising.

These people are so mentally corrupt it's absurd. I don't know how and why we put up with it. But we deserve what we get for allowing these broken-brained people to be in charge.

There was a time when slave owners refused to let anyone teach black children to read, write and math. Now it appears to be the Chicago teachers union.

No standardized testing for students means no outcome metrics means no performance metrics for your union members…allows you to blame the environment and the need for more funding

There's always an excuse, and it's always the same.
